Tourism Marketing SA was established by Johannes in 2008. As a guest house owner himself, in his first years operating the guest house, he had learnt the hard way what works and what doesn´t. Frustrated with the lack of honest advice, he set out to provide exactly that. Since than, Tourism Marketing SA constantly evolved around changing traveler markets, marketing best practices and ever-changing Google algorithms.
What hasn´t changed are our core principles and values. We are passionate about the hospitality industry and online marketing and committed to providing friendly service, honest advice and fairly priced products and services that help independent establishments, like B&B´s, guest houses, lodges, boutique hotels and providers of self catering accommodation to create unique travel experiences, build brand awareness and to attract more direct bookings, repeat and referral business. Our advice results from our experience working with hundreds of establishments.
We see a real opportunity for independent establishments to create a competitive advantage by going back to their roots again and providing true hospitality. We support responsible tourism and dream of a world where both hosts and travellers are aware of the impact of their decisions on stakeholders, communities and the environment.
The Team that makes it all happen
We are a small team, working closely together, developing a deep knowledge of each of our clients. At Tourism Marketing SA, you don't work with "Account Executives" and "Sales Managers", you are in touch with the people that make it all happen. While we don't reside in "Google" style offices (there is lots of free coffee though for us and our clients), we love our jobs, are passionate about our client's success and proud of the fact that our very first client is still with us after all these years.
Client liaison and General Office Manager, Anika is the general "go to girl" with all client support, recommendations, support and assistance where necessary. She's the person to talk to when you need any advice on our services, technical assistance and account queries. Her door is always open for a personal pop in for a face to face consultation on all establishment requirements.
Tanita is our Senior Designer and takes charge of all design projects, ensuring that all client visions become a reality. Her dedication both to her clients and her design team ensures that all jobs are done with equal attention to detail and the client's wishes, no matter how big or small the job. Her experience in the field promises great design and happy clients all round.
Forming an integral part of our design team, Pulane's skill and knowledge of the latest design fads, technical ability and hard working attitude, makes her indispensable to TMSA. Her willingness to interact personally with her clients ensures that all is completed within the quickest and most accurate way possible.
Refilwe is the newest member of our design team and our in house Graphic Designer. She is also in charge of various design projects like newsletter design, email branding design amongst others. Her excellent design eye and input brings a new, fresh and inspiring influence to the whole team and she has quickly established herself as being irreplacable.
